TMCraft

TMCraft mod is an extension for Cobblemon that introduces Technical Machines (TMs) with crafting recipes. For convenient viewing of recipes, installing mods like EMI is highly recommended.

This work is not entirely original development of the author and was created under significant influence of SimpleTMs mod by Dragomordor. Most of the basic functionality was implemented by him. However, there are significant differences between our modifications.

Main Features

• Removed feature of wild Pokémon dropping TMs when defeated
• Completely replaced TM textures based on original Cobblemon resources

Following the mechanics of the ninth generation, Technical Machines are consumable items - they disappear after use. They cannot be used to teach Pokémon egg moves and tutor moves.

Recipe System

Starting from version 1.4.2, crafting recipes for all TMs across all generations have been added.

For server administrators who prefer using TMCraft without crafting recipes, special versions of the mod with the designation x.x.x+x.x.x-norecipes are available.

If you haven't found a recipe for your favorite TM and want to suggest an implementation option, contact the author and share your ideas.

Disc Classification and TMs

The system uses several types of blank discs for creating TMs:

• Copper Blank Disc [0, 30)
• Iron Blank Disc [30, 60)
• Gold Blank Disc [60, 90)
• Diamond Blank Disc [90, 120)
• Netherite Blank Disc 120+
• Emerald Blank Disc (for status moves)

Blank discs serve as main ingredients when creating Technical Machines, and for upgrading the disc tier, Move Upgrade Smithing Template is used.

Starting from version 1.3.0, Move Upgrade Smithing Template replaces Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.

Additional Item Categories

Egg Move Items - allow teaching Pokémon moves that are typically passed through breeding.

Tutor Move Items - intended for learning moves from move tutors.

Star Move Items - provide the ability to teach any moves regardless of standard limitations. Use with caution as they essentially break game balance. With great power comes great responsibility.

Move Recorders

When activated, Move Recorders transform into corresponding Technical Machines or move items from different categories.

Specialist Traders

Villager Move Tutors (from version 1.4.4) trade Tutor Move Items.

Pokémon Breeder villagers (from version 1.4.6) offer Egg Move Items for sale.

Game Rules

consumeMoveItemOnUse

When set to true (default), move items are consumed when used. This rule applies globally to all categories: TMs, Egg, Tutor, and Star Moves.
