What is toNekoMod?

Immerse yourself in the world of cute feline creatures with toNekoMod! This addon allows players to transform into nekos - anthropomorphic cat characters, adding completely new mechanics and role-playing opportunities to the game.

Installation and Requirements

Simply place the mod file in the mods folder on the client or plugins folder on the server. For the mod version to work correctly, additional dependencies are required: ctlib and geckolib. The plugin version only needs ctlib.

How to Become a Neko?

The transformation process is simple and exciting:

• Create a neko collector
• Approach cats closely to accumulate energy
• When the energy is full, a transformation potion will drop
• Drink it - and you'll become a neko!

If you want to become the owner of another player-neko, use the command /toneko player <player name>. Note that the target player must already be a neko, and one neko can have multiple owners.

Hotkeys and Controls

The mod offers convenient hotkeys for quick access to functions:

• K - ride nearby creatures (equivalent to /neko ride)
• I and O - lie down
• J - open quirks settings

All these actions are also available through corresponding commands.

NPC Nekos for Single Player

For more variety in single-player mode, NPC nekos have been added that can be found in the wild or summoned independently. Interact with them via Shift+RMB - each neko has a unique interaction menu. The effective distance is 16 blocks.

Each neko can change skins upon refresh. Although there are currently few built-in skins, you can add new ones through resource packs. There are also various neko variants with different spawn locations, including special versions that appear only on September 26th - the mod's birthday!

Accessories and Decorations

The mod adds several stylish accessories available in the creative inventory and craftable. They can be worn directly in armor slots or, with the trinkets mod installed, in special accessory slots.

Configuration and Localization

The main configuration file is located at:

If some texts are displayed in a language other than yours, simply edit the configuration file. All settings come with comments for ease of use.

The mod is compatible with luckperms for advanced permission management.
