Total Tinkers is an addon for Tinkers Construct that brings back old weapon types and adds completely new ones, offering fresh tactical approaches within the familiar crafting system. All mod features can be disabled through the configuration file.
Modifications to Existing Weapons
Crossbows gain new capabilities: automatic reload and changed crosshair (disabled by default).
Return of Classic Weapons from 1.7.10
Javelin - versatile weapon that can be thrown or used in melee combat. Battleaxe - massive bladed weapon that significantly increases damage dealt and received. Cutlass - after the removal of the blocking system, it received new mechanics: critical hits provide a short burst of speed. The full guard pattern can be found with village blacksmiths. Dagger - currently functions as a fast broadsword, further changes are planned.
Completely New Weapons
Greatblade - mighty weapon for battling ancient creatures. Instead of high base damage, it deals a percentage of bosses' maximum health. The greatblade core pattern is located in the farthest dimension where you'll fight powerful opponents. Scimitar - light sharp blade that compensates for lack of direct damage with the ability to apply bleeding effects. Created for alternative build styles different from standard quartz and multiplicative enhancements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be an update for version 1.x? Most likely not - the large-scale systematic changes in Tinkers would require complete reworking of non-melee weapons, which is not practical.
Can old weapon behavior be restored? Planned - adding old mechanics for all weapons except those related to blocking.
