Trick XOR Treat - Halloween Enchantments for Swords

This mod was created as part of Spooky Jam 2021 and adds two unique mutually exclusive weapon enchantments to Minecraft - Trick and Treat. These enchantments are perfect for Halloween atmosphere and bring an element of surprise to combat.

Enchantment Features

The Trick enchantment can play strange sounds or apply various debuff effects to creatures when hitting them. In turn, the Treat enchantment gives a chance that enemies will drop magical candy at their feet when attacked.

Mechanics

Both enchantments reach a maximum third level where the chance to trigger the effect is 15% per hit. At lower levels, the chance decreases by 5% for each missing level. Trick applies most standard debuff effects from vanilla gameplay, excluding poison, wither, and the Warden's darkness effect.

Magical Candy

The candy obtained through Treat has several features:

• Restores very little hunger but can be eaten at any time and very quickly
• Provides a small saturation bonus
• Each candy has attached potion effects - both positive and negative
• Detailed information about effects can be seen in the inventory, as with any potions

The candy is randomly selected from a common pool of available options, making each battle unpredictable and exciting.
