About the Modification

Tired of excessive movement freedom in three dimensions? Dream of living on a two-dimensional plane? Think Terraria is better than Minecraft? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this mod might be for you!

This modification allows you to get rid of the annoying third dimension and fulfill your dream of living on a two-dimensional plane of your choice. You can even rotate the plane and exist in a slanted world! Additionally, you can interact with the layer located directly behind your plane, giving you two full lines of interaction.

Note: This mod doesn't change world generation in any way, it simply disables the rendering of certain blocks outside the two-dimensional plane.

Usage

Execute the command /twoDimensional default in any world to create a two-dimensional plane. You can also use the from_yaw or custom arguments to create a plane with some rotation, but these options are more prone to errors as they've undergone less testing.

Running the command /twoDimensional disable will return you to the three-dimensional world.

Hold the b key in two-dimensional mode to turn around - this allows you to place and break blocks on the background layer. This key is configurable.

If you feel the camera viewport in two dimensions is too small, increase your field of view (FOV), and you'll be able to see farther.

Note: This mod uses the Satin API for shaders, but you don't need to install it separately as it's included as a jar-in-jar dependency.
