UnifiedKeybinds/UnifiedOptions

This mod solves the problem of constantly copying settings files between different Minecraft versions. Instead of manually transferring options.txt, the mod automatically synchronizes game parameters and keybind settings for all installations with the modification.

How It Works 🎯

Unification occurs through the creation of a central universal.txt file, which is located in the MinecraftOptions folder in the user's home directory:

• For Windows: %userprofile%/MinecraftOptions
• For Linux and macOS: ~/MinecraftOptions

Most parameters from options.txt are automatically transferred to this central file, which is then used by all game versions with the installed mod.

Additional Capabilities ⚙️

The mod supports the function of automatically copying configurations from the MinecraftOptions/<version>/extras folder. This allows, for example, uniformly configuring JourneyMap in all your modpacks or disabling annoying tooltips in Immersive Engineering.

Configuration ⚙️

Works without additional setup, but if necessary, behavior can be adjusted through the configuration file MinecraftOptions/config.toml. The following options are available:

• Configuration of the list of synchronized parameters
• Changing the location of the settings storage
• Complete disabling of mod functionality

By default, NOT synchronized:

• tutorialStep (all tutorial hints are disabled)
• overrideWidth
• overrideHeight
• resourcePacks
• incompatibleResourcePacks
• renderDistance
• simulationDistance
• fullscreen
• fullscreenResolution

You can flexibly manage the blacklist by adding or removing parameters and keybindings. Blocked options will be stored in the standard options.txt file.

Compatibility with Modpacks ✅

The mod is fully compatible with any modifications and can be used in modpacks without restrictions.
