Vanilla Backport: Chase the Skies, The Garden Awakens
This mod brings the latest Minecraft features to older game versions, aiming to maintain full vanilla compatibility with maximum accuracy.
What is Vanilla Backport?
This project initially developed as a series of separate backports - Extended Nether Backport, Caves & Cliffs Backport and The Wild Backport. Over time, the developer unified them into a single mod to improve compatibility between different backports and expand support for more Minecraft versions.

Most relevant currently implemented features include:

Support for Version 1.12.2
Unfortunately, the developers do not plan to support version 1.12.2. The project already spans a wide range of versions from 1.16.5 to modern releases, while version 1.12.2 uses severely outdated data and architecture, making adaptation impractical and overly labor-intensive.
