Vanilla Nick

Tired of your regular username but want to maintain the vanilla game style? Dreaming of roleplaying with different character names? This datapack is made just for you!

This mod adds a simple command that allows you to change your in-game nickname. All you need is a book and quill. Write your desired name in it, sign the book, execute a couple of commands - and your new nickname is ready to use!

How to Use

To get started, take a book and quill and write your desired name in it:

Sign the book with any name, then execute the command:

/trigger ChangeNick

After successfully executing this command, activate the new nickname using:

/trigger ActivateNick

Now your new nickname will be displayed in the player tab:

To disable nickname display, use the command:

/trigger DeactivateNick
