Control Villager Trading in Minecraft
This mod opens up completely new possibilities for interacting with villagers, allowing you to directly influence their trade offers.
How It Works
When a villager acquires a profession but hasn't been traded with yet, they start collecting items they could potentially offer in exchange. Once they pick up a suitable item, their trade offers reset, and they try to include as many collected items in their deals as possible. As they level up and gain new trade slots, the villager continues selecting remaining items from their collection.
With default settings, villagers will only pick up and select items they can offer in the vanilla version of the game.
Compatibility and Requirements
The mod works server-side and in single player. Compatible with Fabric and Quilt loaders. Requires Fabric API to function.
Configuration Settings
The mod supports Cloth Config and Mod Menu for convenient parameter configuration, but they are not required. If Cloth Config is absent, default values will be used.
Main settings include:
- Item return for emerald - villager returns all collected items to player who threw them an emerald
- Return of selected items - when selecting an item for trade, villager throws it to nearest player
- Item drop on death - villager drops all collected items upon death
- Preservation of item names, durability and other characteristics when creating deals
- Limitations on enchantments and special items according to vanilla mechanics
- Blacklists for items, enchantments, potions and effects
Localization
The mod supports automatic translation updates via SSS Translate. You can help with translation on Crowdin.
This mod is developed exclusively for Fabric/Quilt and won't be ported to Forge. The project is distributed under MIT license, allowing other developers to create ports provided they link to the original page.
