Vulpine

Vulpine is a compact modification that introduces fox taming mechanics and adds several new fox varieties to the regular world.

Fox Taming

Foxes can be tamed by breeding them together - this results in more domesticated offspring. Each fox has a taming level indicator. When two foxes breed, the offspring inherits the lower taming level from the parents, which is then increased by one. For example, if you breed two completely wild foxes with zero level, their offspring will get the first level. There are five taming levels in total - from completely wild (0) to fully domesticated (4).

Fox Varieties

The mod adds several new fox species, each spawning in specific biomes with different probabilities:

 Red Fox - Regular Taiga: 5/9, Old Growth Taiga: 2/9

 Arctic Fox - Snowy Taiga: 4/5

 Silver Fox - Regular Taiga: 2/9, Old Growth Taiga: 1/9, Snowy Taiga: 1/5

 Cross Fox - Regular Taiga: 2/9, Old Growth Taiga: 1/9

 Gray Fox - Only in Old Growth Taiga: 5/9

Talon Fox - Does not spawn naturally. Can be obtained by naming any fox "Talon"
