Non-Wandering Trader Profession - Settled Merchant in Minecraft
This mod offers an alternative to the wandering trader who often annoys players with sudden appearances and tendency to escape. Instead, you get a permanent village resident with a unique profession.
Main Features
The game adds a special work block - the Wanderer Table. To craft it, you'll need wooden planks, an amethyst shard, and an empty map. This table serves as a workplace for the new villager type.
Villages now have the Wanderer profession. This villager won't irritate you with sudden appearances and won't run away with a caravan of llamas. He behaves like a regular village resident but offers rare goods typically sold by the wandering trader.
The Wanderer's appearance differs slightly from the standard wandering trader and includes small details depending on the biome where the village is located.
Trading System
Unlike the random offers of the wandering trader, this employed villager provides goods divided by trading levels. A novice trader sells simple flowers and dyes, while an expert can offer coral blocks or slimeballs.
All offers are completely based on the vanilla wandering trader. However, it's important to note that the Wanderer will not sell items from other mods that add new deals for the wandering trader. This maintains motivation to find and trade with the original wandering trader.
Compatibility
The mod doesn't make changes to the regular wandering trader and is compatible with any other mods. It works excellently alongside Just Enough Professions (JEP) and EasyVillagers.
