Pet functionality in Minecraft becomes more realistic with this enhancement! This mod serves as the Forge version of the popular "Independent Pets" addon, specifically designed for version 1.16.4.

Changes in Pet Behavior

After installing the mod, pets no longer constantly follow their owner. They retain all tamed characteristics: cats continue to bring gifts, dogs bark cheerfully, and parrots chirp merrily. However, they will no longer automatically teleport to you or pursue your every step, creating a more natural gaming atmosphere.

Behavior Control

Managing your pet's follow mode becomes extremely simple: press Shift + Right Click to toggle between "follow" and "stay" modes. Usual sitting behavior is activated with a regular right-click.

Customization to Your Needs

The mod offers a flexible configuration system allowing you to individually enable follow mode for different types of pets: parrots, wolves, and cats. An additional option provides immortality for your faithful companions: instead of dying, the pet receives temporary weakening while the owner suffers a powerful negative effect.
