What is WATERViSION?

WATERViSION is an innovative mod that allows you to play videos in full screen mode directly in Minecraft using simple commands. The mod uses WATERMeDIA and VLC technologies to ensure high-quality multimedia playback.

How to Use

The mod adds two main commands for working with videos:

/video Command

/video <"url"> <targets> [volume] [speed] [stretch_video] [game_fade_duration] [video_fade_duration] [allow_controls] [allow_exit]

This command allows you to play videos for specified players with various settings. By default, the following parameters are used: volume 100, speed 1.0, video stretching disabled, game and video fade duration - 20.0 ticks, controls and exit allowed.

Usage example: /video "https://streamable.com/jzqiek" @a 100 1.0 false 20.0 20.0 true true

Command parameters:

• url: Direct link to video file (e.g., .mp4, .webm). Must be quoted
• targets: Players for whom the video will be played
• volume: Volume level from 0 to 120
• speed: Playback speed from 0.1 to 2.0
• stretch_video: Stretch video to full screen (true/false)
• game_fade_duration: Game screen fade time when switching to video (in ticks)
• video_fade_duration: Video fade time at start and end (in ticks)
• allow_controls: Allow playback control (true/false) [UNUSED]
• allow_exit: Allow exit from viewing using ESC key (true/false)

Requires operator permission level 4 to use.

/videoclient Command

/videoclient <"url"> [volume] [speed] [stretch_video]

This command plays video only on the client side, without server interaction. Doesn't require special permissions and only affects your client.

Usage example: /videoclient "https://streamable.com/jzqiek"

Command parameters:

• url: Direct link to video file (e.g., .mp4, .webm). Must be quoted
• volume: Volume level from 0 to 120
• speed: Playback speed from 0.1 to 2.0
• stretch_video: Stretch video to full screen (true/false)

Loading Animation

The loading animation is provided by the WATERMeDIA API and can be customized. To add your own animation, place the file at the path: <minecraft_folder>/config/watermedia/assets/watervision/loading.gif

If the file is not found, the default animation will be used, which can also be replaced by adding a file at the path: <minecraft_folder>/config/watermedia/assets/loading.gif

Note: Changing the default animation will affect all mods using the WATERMeDIA API.
