Weak Hardcore
Mod Features
This mod offers a simplified version of hardcore survival in Minecraft. Instead of instantly losing the world upon death, players lose permanent hearts, with the amount configurable in the mod's settings.
When a player dies, they lose a specific number of hearts. If all hearts are lost, the character enters spectator mode and drops their head. To return to the game, a special revival ritual is required.
Health Recovery
Lost hearts can be restored through several methods:
- Consuming special food specified in the configuration file
- Drinking a potion of accretion
- Killing other players (this option can be toggled off)
The number of hearts restored is configurable separately for each recovery method.
Creating Potion of Accretion
The potion of accretion is created in a brewing stand by combining a harming II potion with a revival heart.
Revival Mechanics
Revival hearts have a 50% chance of dropping when a player dies, except when killed by lifesteal. To revive a player, you must:
- Create a 3x3 platform of gold blocks one block high
- Place ancient debris in the center of the platform
- Place the revived player's head on the gold platform
- Drop the item specified in the configuration (default: enchanted golden apple) on the ancient debris
- Set the structure on fire
Important: the player being revived must be online during the ritual.
