Winter Essentials

Immerse yourself in a real winter fairy tale with this forge 1.18.1 mod! We have dramatically improved snow mechanics and added many useful winter items.

Enhanced Snow System

From now on, snow can fall in absolutely any biome, transforming familiar locations into snowy landscapes. In warm regions, snow will gradually melt after snowfall stops. By the way, loose snow layers - a combination of regular and freezing snow - may now appear instead of regular snow.

Snow can now accumulate up to 4 layers, creating realistic snow drifts! There are also melting snow layers - a temporary snow variant that doesn't last forever.

Winter Equipment

New items will help you cope with winter conditions:

• Snowshoes: Attach to any boots for safe movement on loose snow
• Cross-country skis: Significantly increase movement speed on snow blocks
• Skates: Provide increased sliding speed on ice
• Snow pouch: Holds up to half a stack of loose snow blocks and layers

• Skates: Provide increased sliding speed on ice blocks
• Snow Pouch: Can hold and place half a stack of powdered snow blocks and layers

Changes

With this mod it is possible to:

• Make it snow in every biome (warm biomes too)
• Snow now grows up to 4 blocks high
• Instead of normal snow, powdered snow layers can spawn
• There are melting snow layers as a variant that doesn- There are melting snow layers as a simplified mechanics of snow that avoid impact in warm biomes with lack of management care.
• Add Snowshoes to avoid the sink into powdered snow particles floor.
• Walking boots with cross country skiing adds more velocity.
• Transport ice effectively by finding special advantage on skating mechanism built within physics mechanic design improvements.

• Using the Snow Pouch for fully operational and controllable deployment capability you can help manage environmental physics in challenging gameplay elements efficiently.
