Worldbound Items

This Minecraft datapack allows you to make any enchantable item completely invulnerable when it's on the ground. To achieve this, simply combine the item with a Netherite Scrap and a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template using a Smithing Table.

After the upgrade, the item gains the following unique properties:

• Indestructibility – Complete protection against all types of damage
• Glowing – The item glows when you approach it, even through walls and obstacles
• Persistence – Never disappears over time
• Void Protection – Automatically teleports to the world's surface when falling into the void

This datapack is inspired by the Worldbound modifier from the Tinkers' Construct mod.

You can add more items that can be made invulnerable by following the instructions in the README.md file inside the datapack archive.

Important note: If the item is inside a Shulker Box and falls into the void, or is exposed to an explosion triggered by a player in Creative Mode, it can be destroyed.
