YDM's Copper Golem v2.0 for Minecraft versions 1.17.1-1.20.1
The YDM's CopperGolem modification enriches your game world with a new mechanical being - the copper golem. This autonomous construct becomes a useful addition for automating various processes in your world.
Creating the Mechanical Assistant
To craft a copper golem, you'll need to arrange three types of blocks on top of each other in strict sequence:
- Place cut copper stairs at the very bottom
- Position a copper block or its cut version in the middle
- Secure a lightning rod at the very top of the structure
Main Capabilities
The copper golem autonomously activates nearby buttons at approximately 10-second intervals, allowing you to create various automatic systems without using redstone.
Over time, the mechanism becomes oxidized, similar to regular copper blocks in the game. To protect against corrosion, you can use honeycombs - simply apply them to the golem.
An interesting feature is the interaction with lightning. Strikes hitting nearby will automatically be redirected to your mechanical pet. If it hasn't been wax treated, a lightning strike will completely clear it of oxidation.
Status Management
Accelerating the oxidation process is achieved by using an egg on the golem, while cleaning is done with an axe - exactly the same as with regular copper constructions.
Periodically, the mechanism independently turns its head. This action can also be forced by applying a copper ingot to it.
Interaction with Player
Using a copper ingot, you can tame the golem - then it will follow you at a short distance.
Copper ingots are also used to restore the mechanism's health. When destroyed, the golem leaves behind a certain number of copper ingots.
Compatibility Notes
The modification supports Minecraft versions 1.17.1, 1.18.1, 1.18.2, 1.19, and 1.20.1 using either Forge or Fabric platforms.
