New Inhabitants of Bamboo Jungles

The YDM's Red Panda mod fills the Minecraft world with cute and amusing red pandas that will be a wonderful addition to bamboo jungles. These fluffy creatures have a neutral nature - they don't attack first but can defend themselves if provoked.

Interaction with Animals

Players can tame red pandas by feeding them sweet berries. After taming, these adorable creatures become your loyal companions. Use bamboo for breeding - it also serves as an excellent healing item that restores pandas' health. When killed, the animal may leave behind one bamboo stalk.

Spawn Settings

For versions 1.16.5 and 1.18.x, the biome settings where red pandas appear can be modified through the common configuration file. In version 1.19, spawn parameters are regulated through biome tags (has_red_panda.json) and biome modifiers (spawn_red_panda.json). Fabric users should pay attention to the configuration file "ydms_redpandaconfig.properties" in the config folder.

Owners of previous mod versions are recommended to delete the old red panda configuration file to use the updated default spawn settings. If you want to keep your current settings, simply leave the file unchanged.
