YUNG's Law (Forge) - Ban on Strip Mining
This modification fundamentally changes the approach to resource mining in Minecraft, making traditional strip mining practically impossible and motivating players to explore underground caves.
Two Main Operating Modes
Replacement Mode (default): All underground blocks that are far from caves are automatically replaced with obsidian or another block of your choice. This completely blocks the ability to create long tunnels for ore searching.
Ore Deletion Mode: In this mode, only ore veins located far from caves are removed, while other blocks remain untouched. This allows creating underground bases, but resource mining is only possible near natural cave systems.
Flexible Configuration
The mod offers extensive customization options:
- Choice of replacement block in replacement mode
- Setting the distance from caves where the mod starts working
- Setting the maximum height for applying restrictions
- Many additional parameters for fine-tuning
Dimension and Mod Support
The mod supports creating whitelists for specific dimensions and has separate configurations for each dimension. Compatibility with ores from popular mods is also provided:
- Quark
- Applied Energistics 2
You can easily add support for other mods by including their blocks in the ore whitelist through configuration files.
