ZL Building Additions

This mod adds various construction blocks to Minecraft that are fully compatible with different resource packs. When you install a texture pack that changes the appearance of planks and fences, all blocks from this modification will automatically adapt to the new design, maintaining a consistent style for your builds.

Main Features

Railings - a stylish alternative to standard fences for interior decoration. Perfect for creating balustrades, stair railings, and balcony barriers.

Checkered Multiplanks offer an interesting checkerboard pattern using different wood types. Crafting requires 4 slabs (two of each type), arranged in a checker pattern. If you place the finished blocks back on the crafting table, you can get an inverted pattern variant.

Multiwood Fences - fences with unique textures where the appearance of posts and rails depends on the materials used for crafting. Created from various planks and slabs.

Multislab Horizontal - double slabs combining materials. Only half of all possible combinations are needed since vertical placement changes depending on which side of the block you're attaching to. Crafted by placing slabs on top of each other.

Multislab Vertical - vertical double slabs with textures based on material combinations. Like the horizontal version, only some variants are available since horizontal orientation is determined by the placement angle. The block rotates to face the player when placed. Crafted by placing slabs next to each other.

Multiplank Stairs - stairs with variable textures for the main part and the lower back side. Crafting produces 2 blocks instead of 4, which makes sense for this type of construction.

This project was created using the Custom Stuff 4 modification, and studying its source code can be useful for learning how to work with this tool.

Screenshots demonstrate the mod being used together with the Quadral resource pack by Ignaf. All block models were created in the Blockbench program.
