Zombies Improve Over Time
This datapack makes zombies stronger over time. Changes occur gradually - characteristics slowly increase each in-game day up to the hundredth day. Difficulty level is calculated individually for each player. New players will encounter weak zombies, while experienced players will face more formidable opponents.
IMPORTANT: This datapack is no longer supported. Instead, use the "Hostile Mobs Improve Over Time" datapack
Stat improvements
Over time, zombies receive the following enhancements:
- Increased health
- Damage boost
- Higher reinforcement chance
- Knockback resistance
- Movement speed increase
- Armor and armor toughness
By day 50, all zombies gain the ability to break doors. Around day 70, they start picking up loot. On day 80, some zombies transform into babies or receive leather armor. By day 95, zombies can gain strength and speed boosts when approaching players, along with other abilities.
Testing commands
To test zombie strength, use functions diff:day25, diff:day50, diff:day75, diff:100 or the command "scoreboard players set
Time system
The difficulty timer works separately for each player and increases every in-game day (20 minutes). Sleeping does not accelerate this timer. Maximum difficulty is reached after 100 days and no longer increases.
Installation
Install like a regular datapack - place the ZIP file in your world's datapacks folder.
Removal
Use function diff:unistall, then remove the datapack from the datapacks folder.
