Better Bartering - Expanding Piglin Trading
Better Bartering is a free open-source datapack designed for Minecraft version 1.16 and higher. This project introduces interesting changes to the piglin trading mechanics, adding new exchange options that make interactions with Nether inhabitants more diverse and beneficial.
Features for Different Minecraft Versions
In game versions 1.16 and 1.16.1, the datapack implements trade items such as water bottles, spectral arrows, and blackstone. The drop rates for these items match those introduced in version 1.16.2 and later releases.
For Minecraft 1.16.2 and newer users, the modification restores the magma cream and glowstone dust trades that were removed in earlier snapshots, while maintaining the original drop frequency for these items.
Drop Rates and New Probability System
Additions for Versions 1.16 and 1.16.1:
Water Bottle has a weight of 10, quantity is always 1
Spectral Arrows feature a weight of 40, quantity varies from 6 to 12 units
Blackstone has a weight of 40, quantity ranges from 8 to 16 blocks
Additions for Versions 1.16.2 and Above:
Magma Cream with a weight of 20, quantity from 2 to 6 pieces
Glowstone Dust also has a weight of 20, quantity ranges from 5 to 12 units

Iron Boots with Soul Speed - about 1.6% probability, average cost of 62 ingots

Regular Potion of Fire Resistance - similar probability and cost indicators
Water Bottle - 2% probability, average price of 50 ingots
Iron Nuggets (10-36 pieces) - 2% chance, about 2 ingots per exchange
Ender Pearls (2-4 units) - 2% probability, approximately 17 ingots
Magma Cream (2-6 pieces) - 4% chance, average price of 6 ingots
String (3-9 units) - 4% probability, about 4 ingots per batch
Glowstone Dust (5-12) and Nether Quartz (5-12) - 4% chance, approximately 3 ingots
Obsidian, Fire Charge, and Crying Obsidian (1-3) - about 8% probability, cost from 6 to 12 ingots
