Better Redstone is a completely free resource pack with open source code, designed for Minecraft version 1.13 and above. It dramatically transforms the appearance of various redstone components, making them more visual and intuitive for all players, including beginners.
Key Improvements
- Redstone dust now displays signal strength directly on the wire texture
- Repeaters feature visual indication of delay that's easily recognizable even at a glance
- Dispensers, droppers, and hoppers are equipped with arrows clearly showing their operational direction
- Note block shows the current note it's tuned to
- Observer is visually modified on all sides for instant detection state recognition
Installation Guide
Before installation, ensure you're not connected to any world or server. If you are, press ESC to return to the main menu.
- Navigate to Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder
- Move the resource pack ZIP archive to the opened folder
- Return to the resource packs menu and move the pack from Available to Selected section
- For versions 1.16 and 1.16.1, you may need to exit and re-enter the resource packs menu
- Press Done to apply the changes
