Overview

The British Rail Class 350 resource pack for Minecraft Transit Railway features Desiro-type electric multiple unit trains manufactured by Siemens Transportation Systems between 2004 and 2014 as part of the Desiro UK platform.

The first 30 Class 350/1 units entered service in 2005, operated by Central Trains and Silverlink. These models are notable for their contact shoe equipment, enabling operation in the southern region. Following the expiration of Central Trains and Silverlink franchises in 2007, the units transferred to London Midland, then to London Northwestern Railway in 2017.

London Midland ordered 37 Class 350/2 units as replacements for aging Class 321 models. Originally designed for commuter services with a maximum speed of 100 mph, they were upgraded in 2018 to match the speed capabilities of Class 350/1 units for compatibility with other subclasses.

In 2011, London Midland announced the purchase of an additional 18 Class 350 units, with 8 intended for their own use and 10 planned for sub-lease to First TransPennine Express. The plan was later modified: London Midland ordered 20 Class 350 units, with 10 designated as Class 350/3 for London Midland and 10 as Class 350/4 for First TransPennine Express. The 350/3 models transferred to London Northwestern Railway in 2017, while the 350/4 units transferred between 2019 and 2020 following the introduction of new Class 397 trains at TransPennine Express.
