Change of StellarView - Radically Changes Cosmic Perspective
The Change of StellarView resource pack offers a unique opportunity to see space from completely new viewpoints. While the standard StellarView fills the sky with many distant worlds, this texture set allows you to literally transport to their surfaces and view the universe through their eyes.
These examples also demonstrate how flexibly viewing perspectives can be configured in StellarView.
Important Features and Limitations
- The installed StellarView mod is required for the resource packs to function
- Orbits of alien worlds can be complex, and currently sunrises and sunsets are not synchronized with the day-night cycle in the Minecraft world
- The resource packs change only the viewing perspective, but do not add new planetary objects. The small moons of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, as well as the worlds of Proxima Centauri, are already present in StellarView's standard resources
- Proxima Centauri does not orbit the Alpha Centauri barycenter, and these resource packs do not change this arrangement
- All screenshots were taken under normal Overworld conditions without using additional dimensions or modified world generators
Planetary Viewing Perspectives
🔴 Mars
Find yourself on the surface of the Red Planet! Admire its tiny moons Phobos and Deimos! The Sun appears almost the same as from Earth.
Characteristics: A desert planet located 1.52 astronomical units (228 gigameters) from the Sun. Atmospheric pressure is extremely low — about 5 millibars, average temperature is -60°C.
🇫 Jupiter
Transport to Europa and enjoy views of the Jovian system from the closest distance! From here the Sun is noticeably smaller. Jupiter's smaller moons are also visible, especially the four located closest to the giant planet: Metis, Adrastea, Amalthea, and Thebe.
Characteristics: Located 5.2 astronomical units (778 gigameters) from the Sun and 671 megameters from Jupiter. Europa is an icy world constantly subjected to intense radiation exposure. The atmosphere is thin, average temperature -171°C.
🇸 Saturn
Experience the scale of the Saturnian system on the surface of Titan! Here the Sun appears very dim, while Saturn dominates the sky. Its numerous moons are revealed from new angles, and many of them become visible for the first time.
Characteristics: Located 9.58 astronomical units (1.43 terameters) from the Sun and 1.2 gigameters from Saturn. Titan is unique in that it is the only celestial body in the Solar System, besides Earth, where there are lakes and seas of liquid. Atmospheric pressure is 1.45 bars, average temperature -179°C.
★ Glacio
Glimpse into other star systems! By traveling to Glacio, you will find yourself 4.24 light years (40.1 petameters) away, where the worlds of the Solar System are not visible, but the planets of Proxima Centauri are clearly visible!
Characteristics: A hypothetical satellite of Proxima Centauri c (named Vicinius by the AdAstra developers). Located 1.49 astronomical units (228 gigameters) from Proxima Centauri and 91.9 megameters from Vicinius. An icy satellite where, due to tidal heating, it is quite warm despite the distance from the small and weak star. Estimated atmospheric pressure — about 1 bar, average temperature approximately -50°C.
