🔧 Compatibility
This patch ensures seamless integration between two popular resource packs:
- Supports Fresh Animations v1.9.2 and newer
- Works with Maffhew's Excalibur v1.21.5
- Compatible with Excalibur | Clarent Edition
- Covers Minecraft 1.20.0 – 1.21.5 versions
The patch retains Excalibur's unique visual identity while enhancing immersion with realistic animations.
Requirements
Required Mods:
- OptiFine or ETF/EMF (OptiFine currently has issues, use at your own risk)
Required Packs:
- Fresh Animations v1.9.2+
- Excalibur
- Excalibur | Clarent Edition
Optional Additions:
- F.M.R.P – needed for Guard Villagers support
Mod Support
Current version includes support for:
- Guard Villagers – based on textures by TimothyWiggins
✅ Important: Mod support may vary slightly depending on Minecraft version and mod updates.
📋 Load Order
Recommended loading sequence for optimal compatibility:
- Excalibur
- Excalibur | Clarent Edition (required)
- Fresh Animations (v1.9.2 - v1.9.4)
- Freshly Modded Resource Pack (FMRP) – optional, for Guard Villagers support
- Excalibur | Fresh Animations
Key points:
- Clarent must load immediately above Excalibur
- Other addons should be placed above Clarent

❗ Usage Conditions:
- The resource pack cannot be redistributed under your own name
- Requires link to original page when distributing
- Cannot be used for commercial purposes
- Modifications or derivative works are not allowed
- Allowed in Minecraft videos, including commercial and monetized ones
