Fisherman+ - Sea Creatures & Improved Fishing
Fisherman+ significantly expands and enriches the standard fishing system in Minecraft by introducing completely new mechanics and opportunities. This datapack fundamentally changes the familiar fishing system, adding sea creatures, unique treasures, and special equipment.
Key Features
The main goal of Fisherman+ is to make fishing more interesting and varied. Instead of standard catches, you can now fish up:
- Sea creatures - from simple to legendary beings
- Treasure chests with valuable items
- New types of fishing gear
- Special armor sets
The base chance of catching a sea creature is 25%, and when using the best fishing rods the chance increases to 75%. The distribution of creature rarity:
- Common: 30%
- Basic: 20%
- Uncommon: 20%
- Rare: 15%
- Epic: 10%
- Legendary: 4%
- Mythic: 1%
Crafting Special Items
To create unique tools, throw a Heart of the Sea onto a crafting table - this creates Atlans Workbench. Use it to craft a Sea Encyclopedia by surrounding a Book and Quill with Nautilus shells. This encyclopedia contains all the necessary information about the new fishing system.

This project is based on ideas from DutchCommanderMC's inactive datapack and is inspired by the fishing system from Hypixel Skyblock.
