Glowier Squid
With the release of snapshot 21w03a, Minecraft introduced the winners of the mob vote - glow squids! These sparkling swimmers, while not yet spawning naturally, are beautiful squid-like creatures that emit light in darkness and are decorated with blue-green dots that shimmer as they move. The update also includes glowing ink sacs that make text on signs glow, along with glowing item frames that radiate gentle light, showcasing items more effectively.
However, certain elements feel somewhat underwhelming in terms of visual appeal. The glow squid textures appear too busy and essentially look like recolored versions of regular squids, which already have uninspired texturing. The ink sacs are merely recolored standard versions with a few small dots added. While the lichen has a cool appearance, it doesn't quite harmonize with the other glowing elements.
This resource pack completely redesigns the textures, giving the glowing squids improved coloring and visual detail. The ink sacs receive a customized shape with enhanced glowing dot patterns, while the item frames adopt colors similar to the glow squids with stylistic improvements to their background design. The lichen undergoes transformation to appear more authentic with color adjustments.
