Midway

Midway is a project bringing back the soul of nostalgic Minecraft visuals while being adapted to match the modern artistic standards of newer game versions. Imagine a careful adaptation of the original vision from developers Notch and Jeb—more of an "understanding what they intended" rather than claiming "they didn't know what they were doing".


The textures in this pack skillfully blend the old with the new: the authors use a mixture of classic looks, modern details, and entirely original content, all crafted in the spirit of the original pre-1.14 style. Thanks to their harmony with Minecraft's new graphical concept, they stay fresh while still delivering the valuable nostalgic feel of the era.

Although Mojang did a delicate job updating the visuals of a globally iconic game, they didn't perfectly align everything with the old stylistic direction. The Midway resource pack aims to fix exactly these inconsistencies.
