minecraft snapshots
This resource pack has collected all preserved panoramic backgrounds from the Minecraft main menu—from the earliest classic versions to the current 1.20 update. Currently, some of the newest backgrounds (1.21+) are missing, but the developer plans to add them in the future. The main idea of the project is to give players the opportunity to immerse themselves in Minecraft's magnificent history right on the startup screen.
Incompatibility with vanilla game
The vanilla version of Minecraft only supports one panoramic background per resource pack, so the Vistas mod is required for this collection to work. The author specifically indicated it as a mandatory dependency so that potential users immediately understand this technical limitation.
Installation instructions
- Make sure you have the Vistas mod installed
- Place the resource pack files in the resourcepacks folder (like standard additional content)
- After activation, the mod will select a random panorama from the set each time the game starts
