A resource pack for Minecraft Transit Railway mod.

British Rail Class 205 is a series of diesel-electric multiple unit trains that were manufactured by British Rail Engineering Limited between 1957 and 1962.

The Class 201-207 demonstration electric trains on the Southern Railway earned the nickname "Thumpers" due to the characteristic sound they made while moving. The first batch of 18 cars (numbers 1101-1118) was produced in 1957 as two-car sets of Class 2H. They were used on non-electrified routes in Hampshire between Portsmouth, Salisbury and Andover towns, as well as between Alton, Winchester and Southampton terminal. Operation began in September 1957. However, due to increasing passenger traffic, all 18 sets were reinforced to three cars in 1958 and 1969 by adding a middle trailer car, which led to their reclassification as Class 3H. After implementing the TOPS system, they were designated Class 205. Some of them were later converted back to two-car sets but retained their Class 205 classification.

The second batch of two-car sets (numbers 1119-1122) was produced in 1958. They were used on the Marshlink line from Hastings to Ashford and related branch lines. These sets remained two-car until 1979 and were classified as Class 204 when TOPS was implemented. In May 1979, after disbanding four Class 206 sets, they were reinforced to three cars and reclassified as Class 205.

The third batch was released in 1959 as three-car sets with numbers 1123-1126. These units were created to strengthen the first batch on Hampshire routes. Together, the first and third batches are often called Hampshire sets. The final 1962 batch (numbers 1127-1133) also represented three-car sets. They had some differences from previous batches: different internal layout and smaller route indicators. They were used on routes from Reading to Salisbury and other Berkshire lines, so the final batch is sometimes called Berkshire sets.

Additional Information and Known Issues

The train door position cannot be aligned with PSD/APG positions due to the use of uniform and identical doors across all cars.
