Overview

The British Rail Class 68 is a modern diesel-electric locomotive manufactured by Vossloh (now Stadler Rail) between 2013 and 2017 for the UK transport company Direct Rail Services. This locomotive features high performance, low emissions, and push-pull operation support, making it an excellent choice for both freight and passenger transport in modern railway systems.

Equipped with a Caterpillar C175 engine producing 3800 horsepower (2800 kW), the Class 68 can reach speeds up to 160 km/h. It is most commonly used on express passenger and intermodal freight routes throughout the United Kingdom.

This Minecraft resource pack adds the Class 68 model to the game using the Minecraft Transit Railway mod. The 3D model was originally created by user cw_315 for Transport Fever 2, and I (Vitor2005) adapted it for use in Minecraft. The pack includes several liveries representing real-world operators: Chiltern Railways, TransPennine Express, ScotRail, and Direct Rail Services.
