[MTR4] Zoomono – Resource Pack for Minecraft Transit Railway

Project Concept

This resource pack represents an adaptation of a unique project – the Chester Zoo Monorail (also known as "Zoofari"), which operated from 1991 until September 3, 2019. In Minecraft, the set integrates with the popular Railway modification and includes several versions of rolling stock that differ in both historical authenticity and modern improvements.

Resource Pack Features

The package includes the following components:

• Classic Version – An identical recreation of the appearance of the Chester monorail, matching its real-life look during operation.
• Updated Variant – A modernized design using current innovations: destination display system, level boarding, and other advancements.
• Track System – Specialized guide structures of elevated type for the proper functioning of Zoomono trains.

Historical Background

The Chester monorail complex had a unique and closed architecture – the route ran only from Jubilee Square station to Tsavo station. Four trains were used simultaneously, each consisting of four coaches capable of accommodating up to 6 passengers. The route was covered in approximately fifteen minutes, but in 2019 the railway was dismantled due to limited coverage of the park area and frequent malfunctions – now the monorail at the British Alton Towers zoo remains the only operational one.
