- Old Lava (pre-1.5)
- Old Day Sky (pre-Beta 1.8)
- Old Night Sky (pre-Beta 1.5)
- Old Nether Fog (pre-1.13.1)
- Old End Sky (pre-1.3.1)
- Old Grass & Foliage (between Alpha 1.2 and Beta 1.7.3)
IMPORTANT: OPTIFINE REQUIRED! Make sure that Custom Color, Custom Sky and Emissive Textures options are enabled in OptiFine settings. For maximum authenticity of pre-Beta 1.3 visuals, you can also disable Smooth Lighting.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to install? Launch Minecraft (Java Edition) with OptiFine installed. Open the Resource Packs folder (accessible through the settings menu) and place the archive there. Select the pack from the list and start the game.
How was this pack created? I worked using side-by-side screenshot comparison, utilizing previous versions of Minecraft to achieve the best results.
What texture pack to recommend for a classic experience? My pack can be combined with Programmer Art or other retro texture packs:

I want only water from Beta 1.8-1.12.2 period. How to get it? Simply delete unnecessary files (including underwater.json) from the .zip archive.
How to get old night sky from Beta 1.5-1.2.5 period? I prefer less bright stars. This version is already included in the pack. Just delete the night.png file and rename greystars.png to night.png.
How to make grass block sides unaffected by biome temperature (pre-Beta 1.5)? This feature is already present in the pack. Delete the grass_block.json file and rename grass_block_graphics_fast.json to grass_block.json.
