The dynamic resource pack Subtly Glowing Ores gives familiar Minecraft ores a subtle glowing outline. All rare and valuable minerals begin to softly illuminate in darkness, allowing players to locate them faster in mines and dungeons. The glow effect only affects target blocks without disrupting the appearance of the rest of the game world.
Two installation options available
- OptiFine/Continuity version requires installation of the corresponding mod
- Standard vanilla version works without additional mods
Supported blocks for glowing
- All types of coal ore
- Copper and iron veins
- Gold nuggets and redstone
- Precious diamonds and emeralds
- Nether quartz and lapis lazuli
- Ancient debris ore
- Raw metal blocks
Frequently asked questions
If outline is not visible or ore appears too dark Verify the correct version installation. Possibly you downloaded the wrong pack variant.
If glow effect still missing Ensure files are placed above other resource packs in preference lists! Also check "Emissive Textures" settings in OptiFine or Continuity mods.
Compatibility with Items on Ores pack Unfortunately, automatic interaction is not currently implemented. Author is exploring integration possibilities in future updates.
Bedrock edition support Port to mobile and console game versions is not available.
