Allium Shaders

Shader development has always captivated me from the moment I first laid eyes on Chocapic13's Shaders. This passion had to be put on hold temporarily when I felt my learning process stagnating. But the impressive results of Complementary reignited my enthusiasm, and I decided to challenge myself – to create something special that would inspire me even during busy student years.
Allium is a refined version of Complementary Unbound that has become the embodiment of my creative vision. The main focus is on creating color harmony and visual effects, while striving to maintain maximum performance. With Allium, I aim to offer a unique style and aesthetic that fully unleashes creative potential.
Features and Philosophy
The project aims to create an individual visual experience that transforms the familiar Minecraft world, making it more expressive and colorful. I focus on ensuring every aspect – from lighting to textures – contributes to a unified visual picture without overloading the system with unnecessary details.
Throughout this time, I've worked diligently to present the public with a truly quality product capable of impressing both fans of the original Complementary and new users.
Acknowledgments
- Special thanks to developer Emin for the excellent Complementary Unbound foundation;
- Many thanks to Query for the impressive LUT system borrowed from the MollyVX project.
Version Statuses
Beta Testing
Beta versions are released fairly frequently and contain the latest changes. Everyone is invited to participate in testing, as improving the shader's quality largely depends on your feedback and bug reports.
However, only the most stable built beta versions are distributed through the Modrinth platform. If you need the most up-to-date potentially unstable build containing experimental features, you can always visit the official repository page on GitHub.
Release Builds
Release builds are fully stable and polished versions that have undergone extensive testing and final verification during the active beta development cycle. Each release build is designed for everyday use and combines optimal visual excellence, performance, and overall reliability.
Currently, there are no official release versions available yet.
Bug Reporting
If you discover a crash or unusual behavior in the shader's operation, I'll gratefully accept reports directly in the Issues section of the repository on GitHub:
1. Creating a New Issue
- Go to the Issues section and use the "New Issue" button;
2. Clear Title and Detailed Description
- Provide a clear descriptive title summarizing the emerging problem;
- In the description field, write detailed reproduction steps and other important information as thoroughly as possible.
3. Adding Helpful Materials
- Include relevant screenshots or (when applicable) video clips that visually explain the nature of the crash;
- If the error is system-related, prepare access to appropriate log files.
4. Basic Installation and Launch Settings
For proper operation of Allium Shaders, it's recommended to use:
- Support for Minecraft versions 1.17 and newer;
- Compatibility with official launchers and optimized clients like Lunar Client. If predefined configuration parameters cause GPU overload, first try disabling additional graphical elements or lowering their quality in the in-game video subsystem profile settings.
